FOOD AND NUTRITION POLICY REMINDER

As we head into the final weeks of school, we know many classes are planning end-of-year celebrations. We’re excited to wrap up a wonderful year with fun and meaningful moments for students!

We’d like to take this opportunity to remind everyone of PUSD's Food and Nutrition Policy. To ensure the health and safety of all students, please refer to the following guidelines in mind for any class parties or celebrations.

If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to reach out to your child's teacher.

END OF YEAR LIBRARY REMINDERS

Hi Parents! The library is closing down for its end of year inventory. All the library books that are checked out, or payments that need to be made for lost or damaged books, are due this week. Please help your child find their books and put them into their backpacks. Our goal is to have 100% of the books returned this week! COLLEGE FIELD DAY ON JUNE 5th!

Students will enjoy a BMX freestyle show, followed by field day, and end it all with otter pops with their class!

FUN FIFTH GRADE PROMOTION VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITY!

Help say goodbye to our 5th grade families by volunteering to help at the 5th Grade Promotion Reception. Promotion will be on June 11th with two ceremonies, the first ceremony will begin at 9:00 am and the second at 10:45 am. Want to get involved in organizing and coordinating the Deep Space Sparkle art program for your child's grade-level classes? We are looking for a volunteer for each grade level to help manage their grades inventory, monthly lessons, and preparation of supplies. We are 95% to our annual goal - so close! Please help us reach 100%! We have many ways to make it easy for you to donate and EVERY dollar counts! We encourage you to share with friends, family, grandparents, aunts and uncles who might like to get involved and support our amazing Grizzlies.

The Willow Grove Educational Foundation supports essential programs at our school such as PE, Kindergarten and Grade-Level Impact Teachers, and Library Development. A donation to the WGEF is a great way to ensure that programs like The Grizzly Gazette, Math Olympiad and Odyssey of the Mind receive the ongoing support that they need.

Speaking of Odyssey of the Mind, a big shoutout to our Willow Grove 2nd-4th grade team on being advanced to the Worlds Tournament this May, where they will be competing with 6,000 other students! Odyssey of the Mind is a WGEF supported program and wouldn’t exist without the generosity of our amazing community. Help this team raise the funds needed to get them to the tournament by donating to their GoFundMe HERE.
