ENROLLMENT

It’s hard to believe it but it’s already time to begin to think about the 2025-2026 school year!

Here are some important dates to mark on your calendars:

Transfer Requests - beginning on February 1st at 8:00 am, we will accept transfer requests for students who live in the Poway Unified boundaries and would like to attend a different Poway school. This includes incoming siblings of current students, as well as students who have not yet enrolled. Transfer requests can be made on the Poway Unified website by clicking THIS link. The transfer window closes on March 31st at 5:00 pm.

Continuing Student Registration - from February 28 - March 31st, all parents whose current students will continue in Poway Unified for the 2025-26 school year need to complete online continuing registration. Look for more information coming soon.

New Student Enrollment - beginning on April 1st at 8:00 am, new student enrollment opens on the Poway Unified website. We are excited to welcome our new students!

CONTINUING STUDENT FAMILY SURVEY

It is hard to believe it but our district has already begun planning for the 2025-2026 school year! In an effort to help us provide the most accurate information about the number of students who will be returning next year, please complete THIS SURVEY no later than Sunday, January 26, 2025. This will provide us with the number of returning students as well as those who will be leaving Willow Grove, and will ensure that your child(ren) is enrolled correctly for the 2025-2026 school year. Please submit one form per student.

Families do not need to complete the form for current 5th-grade students because they will be automatically enrolled in 6th-grade at their school of residence. This is NOT considered continuing student registration. Continuing student registration will take place February 28th - March 31st and needs to be completed for ALL students enrolled in PUSD for the 2024-2025 school year. POSITIVITY PROJECT

Hi Grizzly Families, our school community, this week our school community will be focusing on the character strength of Prudence. Prudence means you plan for the future and achieve your goals by making careful everyday choices.

Prudence is the ability to do the right thing for the right reason, at the right time. It’s a future-oriented way of thinking that helps a person set goals, make plans, and have the discipline to accomplish them. It is cognitive -- more a strength of the head than of the heart.

Prudence supports effective individual self-management. Whether aspiring for an athletic record or academic grade, foresight and planning are necessary. However, even with a plan, long-term goals can only be obtained by overcoming those impulses and desires that steer you away from your goals. Prudence provides the wisdom to know which character strength to leverage, at which time, to achieve your desired end state.

PTA STAFF LUNCHEON ON JANUARY 22nd!

The PTA will be hosting a yummy lunch from Rosina's to show our appreciation to our amazing faculty for everything they do for our kids and our school. Our event is on Wednesday, January 22nd, 2025.

We are extremely excited to be bringing a school favorite to campus to shower the teachers and staff with love, and pasta. We need your help in making this all happen so please consider donating towards our catering costs. Our fundraising goal is $1700 and every little bit helps!

APEX FUN RUN VOLUNTEERS NEEDED!

The PTA's annual FUNdraiser, the Apex Fun Run, is around the corner on Thursday January 30th! We are in need of LOTS of amazing volunteers to help make the event a success. Please see the sign-up genius below to sign up during your student(s) run, or stay for the whole day and help out! All times and tracks are split up by grade level. Please plan to arrive at the track at least 5 minutes before the scheduled run to receive instructions.

Thank you for helping us make this a great Fun Run for our Grizzlies, and a successful fundraiser for the PTA.
